10 Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. Exodus 33:9-11 “As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. Ephesians 3:18-19 “may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”ġ4. Revelation 3:20 (NASB) “Behold, I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”Ĩ. He wants us to “be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:18-19)ħ.In Jesus, “we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.” (Ephesians 3:12).“Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, ‘Abba! Father!’” (Galatians 4:6).He wants us to cry out to Him, “Abba!” (Daddy!). He wants us to understand the infinite depths of His love. God desires true intimacy with His children. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”Ħ. Romans 5:10-11 “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”ĥ. Mark 12:33 (ESV) “And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”Ĥ. Hosea 6:6 “For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.”ģ. James 1:27 (NIV) “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”Ģ. And we’re probably cold to God because we’ve let ourselves be stained by the world’s values, sin, and corruption.ġ. If our hearts are cold to the needs of those who are suffering, we’re probably cold to God. When we have a relationship with God, we experience His mind-blowing love, and that love flows through us and out to others in distress, helping them in their need. That brings us right back to relationship. “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” (James 1:27)

A lot of people equate religion with meaningless ritual, but the Bible considers true religion a good thing:
